- Measure the length, width, and height of the commercial space.
- Multiply these dimensions together to find the total volume in cubic meters (m³).
Deduct Occupancy Volume:
- Estimate the volume occupied by furniture, equipment, and other fixtures in the building.
- Subtract this occupied volume from the total volume of the building to get the effective volume available for air circulation.
Refer to the Air Changes Table:
- Use the provided table to find the recommended air changes per hour based on the type of commercial space and its usage.
Calculate Required Air Changes:
- Multiply the effective volume of the building (after deducting occupancy) by the recommended air changes per hour from the table to obtain the total air changes required per hour for optimal ventilation.
